1- Real life story. Plot point driven. The story jumped from one event to another in a linear fashion. Non-linearity sprinkled in places of the narrative didn’t work for me.

Great cinematography. Grand sets and visuals.

Allya Bhat as the main lead looked too fragile in physique to be taken seriously for this one. She is a good dancer but moments of her performance looked so contrived that the rehearsal that went behind making it was visible. Her controlling tone and dialects was only for the effect which didn’t make an impact. Her performance in the last speech makes it up for the overstretched last hour of the film but the gooseflesh moment reward was too little to sit through the entire film. Vije raz and Sima overshadowed everyone in the film and made shared some impeccable scenes. I remember watching Devdas In 2002 at the Cannes and being in awe of the larger-than-life cinematic universe that Sanje can create, but this one got me question that.
